About CFS

Company background, editorial guidelines and credit lines

CFS is a privately held cold foil stamping specialist headquartered in Wenzhou, China, with European applications labs and a commercial presence across forty countries. We supply pigmented and metallised cold transfer foils to converters and brand owners in cosmetics, wine and spirits, confectionery, FMCG and pharmaceuticals — the categories where surface decoration is part of the product, not an afterthought.

The newsroom on this page collects formal announcements; for context, background interviews, custom imagery or quotation review, contact our communications team directly.

Company at a glance

Founded around a single coating line dedicated to high-gloss decorative foils, CFS now operates three production sites, four colour-matching laboratories and a converter-support footprint that runs follow-the-sun across European mornings and APAC afternoons. The company employs roughly 320 people, of whom 38% sit inside R&D, applications engineering and quality functions. Annual production exceeds 28 million square metres of foil shipped against more than 5,400 active brand and converter SKUs.

Independent verification underpins the headline claims: PAS 2060 carbon neutrality for European operations is audited annually by SGS; the ISO 14040/14044 conformant life-cycle assessment is verified by Intertek; FSC chain-of-custody and ISO 9001 / ISO 14001 management systems are certified by accredited registrars. Underlying methodology documents and certification scope statements are available on request.

What we usually get asked for

Editorial coverage typically falls into one of four buckets, and we keep approved assets ready for each. Sustainability journalists most often request the LCA executive summary, third-party verification letters, and a quote from our head of ESG. Packaging-trade press want product launch photography, technical diagrams of the cold transfer process and a converter case study. Business press tend to want growth figures, market positioning and an interview with the chief executive. Design-led publications want unboxing photography, brand collaboration credits and a quote from the creative director on the project.

We can usually turn around an editorial request inside three working days when the brief is clear. Quote review is offered on every interview — we do not change the substance of what was said, only the precision of technical claims, then return the quote within 24 hours.

Editorial and citation guidance

Please credit images as Image courtesy of CFS unless an individual photographer is named in the metadata. Technical claims (gloss values, ΔE figures, emissions reductions) should be cited against the source document — the PAS 2060 statement, the LCA executive summary, the qualification report — rather than against a press release, so the underlying methodology travels with the claim. Where a brand partner is named, we will share their press contact so coverage can be cross-referenced before publication.

We do not pay for editorial coverage, sponsor article placement or barter advertising for editorial. Sponsored content opportunities are limited to events and publications where the relationship is disclosed transparently in the copy.

Awards and industry recognition

Recent recognition includes Luxe Pack in Green nominations for the Iridescent Pearl launch, an EcoVadis Gold sustainability rating, and converter-of-record status on multiple FIN-Pack and Pentawards Platinum winners over the past three editions. Full citation references and award imagery are available on request from the communications team.
