How these products run on press.
Cold foil stamping is an inline operation: a UV-curable adhesive is printed in the foil image, the metallised web is nipped against the adhesive, the UV lamp cures the bond, and the carrier film peels away leaving foil only where the adhesive was laid down. The CFS product range is formulated for that exact sequence — release layer, vacuum-metallised aluminium, colour lacquer and size coat are tuned so foil transfers cleanly at production speeds without flagging, pinholing or ragged edges.

| Defect | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Pinholing in solids | Low adhesive coat weight or worn anilox | Increase anilox volume; check for plugged cells |
| Ragged edges | Plate swelling or excess adhesive bleed | Reduce coat weight; verify plate durometer |
| Dull finish | Under-cured adhesive or wrong foil family | Increase UV lamp power; specify high-gloss foil |
