How we work with you
Every inquiry — from a first-time designer asking about cold foil basics to a multinational converter qualifying a new SKU — is routed to a packaging engineer, not a generic inbox. We answer in plain language, share real data, and follow up until the project is on press or you have a clean decision to walk away.
Below is a transparent summary of our response SLA, what information speeds up a useful answer, and the typical journey from first email to sample card in your hands.
Sales and sample requests submitted Monday through Friday receive a written reply within one business day, usually within four working hours during our Wenzhou (GMT+8) office hours and the overlap with US and European business hours. Technical-support tickets that include a press photo, an anilox reference and a substrate datasheet are typically answered the same day; complex troubleshooting that requires a lab check is acknowledged within 24 hours and scheduled into the queue with a firm callback date.
Partnership and press inquiries are reviewed weekly. We will tell you within three business days whether we can take the project on, who will own it internally, and what information we need next. We do not let inquiries fall silent — if we cannot help, we say so and, where possible, suggest a peer or an industry resource that can.
For sample requests, the most useful detail is the substrate (paper, board, BOPP, PET, metallised film), the press make and model, the foil colours you are evaluating and the printed area per SKU. With that, we can ship sample rolls on the substrate closest to your project — rather than a generic swatch book that does not match your reality.
For technical support, include a high-resolution photo of the defect, the anilox cell volume and screen ruling, UV lamp configuration and dose, web tension settings, run speed at the point of failure, and the adhesive batch code. Nine times out of ten this is enough for our applications engineers to suggest a root cause without a press visit.
For commercial conversations, share the annual foil volume in linear or square metres, target lead time, currency and incoterm. We price transparently per linear metre with volume tiers, and we will tell you whether a project fits the standard catalogue or needs a custom shade before any quote leaves our office.
Most converters move from first contact to qualified production in four to six weeks. Week one is sample dispatch and a kick-off call to align on the brand brief. Weeks two and three are press-trial preparation: prepress files reviewed by our designer-facing team, anilox and UV settings suggested, adhesive volume estimated for your specific substrate. Week four is the trial itself, with an applications engineer joining over a live video bridge.
After a successful trial we can share a qualification summary — measured gloss values, colour reference, adhesion notes and storage guidance — that your brand owner can attach to the artwork sign-off pack. From that point onward, production rolls ship from our Wenzhou site by sea freight; sample and replenishment rolls can be dispatched by DHL / FedEx Express.
Information submitted through the contact form is stored in our CRM, accessed only by the named owner and their backup, and used solely to reply to your inquiry. We do not sell, rent or share contact details with third parties, and we do not enrol new contacts into marketing campaigns by default — you have to opt in explicitly during a later conversation if you want our technical updates.
Files attached to a technical-support ticket (artwork, press photos, defect samples) are retained for the duration of the active case plus six months for traceability, and then deleted. If you would like a copy of the data we hold about you, or its deletion, write to sales@aifoils.com — our privacy policy explains the workflow in more detail.
