Label finishes

Every custom-label finish.
One inline process.

Gold, metallic, holographic, tinted CMYK-over-foil — all produced on the same narrow-web UV-flexo press, in a single pass.

Bright 24K-look gold, warm pale gold and champagne cold foils for spirits, cosmetics, supplements and gourmet food labels. Over-printable with CMYK.

Cold-foil-ready PS label stock: coated paper, BOPP, PE, PET, and metallised film. Compatible with inline UV-flexo narrow-web presses.

05

Wine, spirits & RTD

Mirror-finish foil decoration on wet-strength paper labels for wine, spirits and ready-to-drink — no off-line hot stamping needed.

Why cold foil

The converter case for
cold over hot foil.

  • No engraved dies. Cold foil uses a flexo plate — design and SKU changes cost a fraction of hot-foil tooling, and short runs become economic.
  • CMYK overprint, same pass. Print tinted gold, rose, copper, emerald or full custom brand colours over the foiled image without holding extra foil SKUs.
  • Inline at narrow-web speeds. No off-line hot-stamping pass — cold foil runs inline up to 450 m/min on your existing UV-flexo label press.
  • Recyclable-stream friendly. <5 g/m² aluminium deposit keeps labels inside mono-material paper recycling streams.
Label materials

Face stocks we foil:
paper, BOPP, PET, PP, PE.

Cold foil works on virtually every pressure-sensitive label substrate used in modern narrow-web converting. The face stock you choose drives foil brightness, chemical resistance, conformability and the recycling stream the finished label belongs to.

01

Coated paper (semi-gloss / high-gloss)

The default substrate for wine, spirits, gourmet food and supplement labels. 60–90 gsm wet-strength paper accepts cold-foil adhesive directly with no primer, delivering the brightest mirror gold and silver finish.

02

BOPP (white & clear)

Biaxially-oriented polypropylene for cosmetics, personal care, household chemicals and squeezable bottles. Excellent water and abrasion resistance; clear BOPP enables the no-label look with metallic foil accents.

03

PET (polyester)

Heat-stable polyester for pharma, industrial, automotive and tamper-evident labels. Holds tight registration and dimensional stability for fine-line foil graphics and serialised holographic security marks.

04

PP (polypropylene face stock)

Cost-effective film face for FMCG, beverage multipacks and promotional SKUs. Compatible with metallic and holographic cold foil at narrow-web speeds up to 450 m/min.

05

PE (polyethylene)

Conformable film for squeezable tubes, sachets and cosmetic bottles. Softer surface tension requires corona-treated stock and a tuned UV-flexo adhesive for clean foil release.

Finish options

Foil finishes for
custom labels.

Five core finish families cover 95% of brand briefs. Every option below ships from stock and runs inline on standard UV-flexo narrow-web presses — no off-line hot stamping pass required.

Bright gold (24K look)

Mirror-finish yellow gold for spirits, wine and luxury cosmetics.

Silver / chrome

Cool neutral metallic used as base for CMYK-tinted custom colour foils.

Rose gold

Warm pink-gold for beauty, fragrance, indie cosmetics and gift packaging.

Holographic / rainbow

Diffraction-grating foil for limited editions, security and youth brands.

Transparent CMYK overprint

Tint a silver or holographic base with CMYK in the same pass — emerald, copper, sapphire, bronze, or your brand Pantone.

Cold vs hot foil labels

How cold-foil labels
compare to hot stamping.

For most narrow-web label work today — short to mid runs, frequent SKU changes, tinted CMYK-over-foil, holographic and security graphics — cold foil wins on speed, tooling cost and inline integration. Hot foil still owns the very-long-run mass market and deep embossed combinations.
